Return and Refund Policy- CURIO TYKES

 

1. Overview

At Curio Tykes, we aim to provide a clear and reliable return and refund process. This policy outlines the terms and steps for cancellations, returns, exchanges, and refunds for purchases made through our website.

2. 30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

  • Change of mind: Items must be unused, unwashed, in original condition, with packaging and tags intact, and include proof of purchase.
  • Defective or damaged items: Returns may still be accepted, provided the issue was not caused by misuse or negligence.

All returns are subject to inspection and approval.

3. How to Start a Return or Request a Refund

To begin a return or refund, contact hello@curiotykes.com within 30 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you want to return or exchange
  • The reason for your request
  • Clear photos if applicable (especially for damaged or defective items)

Our team will provide instructions. Do not ship items back until you receive authorization.

4. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping for change-of-mind or sizing issues.
  • For defective, damaged, or incorrect items, please contact us first — we may provide a prepaid return label.
  • We recommend using a tracked shipping service and sharing the tracking number.

Curio Tykes is not responsible for items lost in transit.

5. Return Shipping Instructions

Once your return is approved, ship the item within 7 business days and package it securely.

6. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item (size, color, or option), return the original at your expense. Once inspected, store credit equivalent to the item value (excluding shipping) will be issued. Use the store credit to place a new order. If the desired item is out of stock, credit may be applied to any other product.

Processing time: After receiving the original item, a new product ships within 5 business days. Delivery time depends on your location (see our Shipping Policy).

7. Refund Eligibility & Process

Refunds are issued only after returned items are received and inspected. Eligible items must meet the return conditions described in section 3.

Timeline

  • Inspection: up to 5 business days after receipt
  • Approval confirmation: via email
  • Refund issuance: within 5 business days after approval
  • Bank processing: 2–7 business days (depends on your payment provider)

If more than 15 business days have passed since refund approval, please contact us.

8. Partial Refunds or Return Denials

Items returned used, damaged, or missing packaging/tags may receive partial refunds (up to 50%) or be returned without refund, based on inspection results.

9. Sale and Promotional Items

Items purchased during promotions or sales are eligible for return or refund if they meet the standard return conditions.

10. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items

  • Gift cards
  • Returned items not in original condition or missing parts (unless due to our error)

11. International Returns and Refunds

  • International customers follow the same return and refund process.
  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrectly sent.
  • Mark returned packages as “Returned Merchandise” to avoid customs fees.
  • Refunds for international orders may vary depending on bank or country.
  • Customs duties or import taxes are not refundable by Curio Tykes.

12. Lost or Damaged Orders

If your package is lost or damaged in transit, notify us within 7 days of delivery. Once confirmed with the carrier, we will issue a full refund or a replacement based on your preference.
